Comprehensive IT and Cybersecurity Support at Pacific Missile Range Facility (PMRF)
cyDaptiv Solutions delivered exceptional onsite IT services to the Pacific Missile Range Facility (PMRF), providing comprehensive systems engineering, systems administration, cybersecurity, network engineering, and operations and maintenance (O&M) support. Our expert team managed technical support for 25 PMRF systems, encompassing both classified and unclassified environments, including Windows, Linux, RHEL, Juniper switches, and Cisco network devices.
Key Activities and Achievements
Our scope of work included a range of critical activities aimed at ensuring the highest standards of cybersecurity and operational efficiency:
CCRI Assessment Preparation:
- Conducted thorough vulnerability assessments and remediation.
- Scheduled and executed CCRI Audit Readiness activities, including mock interviews, document gap analysis, ACAS vulnerability assessments, and quality reviews of over 150 manual STIG checklists.
Network Engineering:
- Implemented Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) to enhance network security.
- Deployed Terminal Access Controller Access-Control System (TACACS) for robust authentication.
- Applied STIG requirements to various network devices, including Layer 2 Juniper switches, Layer 2 & 3 Cisco switches, Palo Alto devices, and Network Time Protocol (NTP) servers.
Systems Administration:
- Virtualized six servers, upgrading the OS from Windows Server 2012 to Windows Server 2016.
- Configured bi-weekly backups for the vCenter Server.
- Applied patches and updates to Oracle and SQL Server databases to resolve vulnerabilities.
- Patched ESXi servers, virtual servers, and workstations, and performed manual STIG reviews.
Post-CCRI Support:
- Provided ongoing support to address remaining vulnerabilities post-CCRI assessment.
- Developed and implemented a Vulnerability Management Workflow.
- Created SOP/Policy verbiage and a task tracker solution.
- Continued system administration to ensure compliance and security.
